NONNI'S MOON shows how a little creativity and inspiration can bridge the gap of loneliness and distance, and bring even far away loved ones closer. The relationship between mother and daughter, grandmother and granddaughter is sweetly depicted in this warm and comforting book.

Nonni’s Moon is a heartwarming story that shows there’s more than one way to say I love you! Some people see the man in the moon, but Beanie and Nonni see something even more special, the magic of love. From start to finish Nonni’s Moon is a gentle, heartwarming story of love.

A fantastic message for children who are separated from loved ones! Empower your children to figure out a way to stay connected, just like Beanie in 'Nonni's Moon'. This beautifully illustrated story demonstrates how you can still be close at heart, even when you're far away in distance.

A beautifully written and illustrated story, reminiscent in its sweetness and tone to Kevin Henkes’ Kitten’s First Full Moon, about how a little imagination and the power of the moon can bridge the miles between loved ones (separated by oceans and continents).

Nonni's Moon by Julia Inserro is one of those feel good books for kids and parents alike. One of the first things that hooks the reader in Nonni's Moon by Julia Inserro is the artwork. Lucy Smith's illustrations capture our hearts. Diversity is shared within the illustrations. The story line seems at first to be a bedtime story. But, there's much, much more. There are "hidden" connections with the world of science and social issues. The obvious settings in the illustrations can lead to good discussions about different cultures. This would be a great means to introduce time zones and the earth's movements to young children, as well as use in a discussion of where the moon is when it can't be seen.

Nonni’s Moon – The cover is rendered with inviting drama. Very clear and distinct bold heading and font with great contract. This makes it visible from a distance and on store shelves. The cover imagery definitely relates to the title. It is obviously a book that screams ‘read me!’ It’s on our reading list!
