These were inspired by the children’s book, My Camel Wants To Be a Unicorn.
My kids and I had such fun creating these clothespin camels. (And it was a great craft for using up all those little bits of ribbon, pompoms, glitter, beads and sequins that are inevitably hanging around.)
You just need:
paper
crayons, markers, paint, whatever you want
embellishments - glitter, sequins, pompoms, ribbon, etc.
clothespins (2 per camel)
scissors
glue
Start with the camel cut-out/stencil. You can draw one yourself, or Subscribe to my website and get one from my Activity Book HERE (you can select ALL of the activity books, or just the one for My Camel Wants To Be a Unicorn).
You can use regular paper, construction paper, even thin cardboard. Whatever you have lying around.
Next step, color, decorate, embellish, bling-it-out. It’s super easy - and can be done relatively quickly, depending on how decorative you want your camels to be.
Once the glue is dry, attach the clothespins.
Now you can make a whole family (or caravan, herd, flock, etc.)
